The best NBA players will be playing in the 2010 all-star game in Dallas, Texas on Valentine’s Day.
The way the players get into this game is the fans. The fans vote for whom they think are the best NBA players for the East Coast and the West Coast. There are many special events before the actual game such as the dunk contest, three-point shoot out, celebrity game and so on. In the dunk contest players try do the coolest dunks and the fans give the dunk a grade 1-10. The person with the highest score after three rounds is the champion. In the three point shoot out the best 3 point shooting players in the league have a contest to see who can make the most 3 pointers. Who ever make the most wins. In the celebrity game actresses, actors, football players, and so on play against each other. After all those events the real game happens.
It is a really popular weekend for basketball lovers.

Troy Tulowitzki is a Colorado Rocky playing shortstop this year.
Troy Trevor Tulowitzki was born on October 10, 1984 in Santa Clara, California. His first game in major league baseball was on August 30, 2006. September 10, 2007 he hit his 20th homerun of the season and set the record of most homeruns in a single season by a rookie shortstop.
On January 23, 2008, Tulowitzki signed a six-year, $31-million contract with the Rockies. On April 29, 2007, Tulowitzki turned just the 13th triple unassisted play in MLB history, during a 9-7 home victory at Coors Field over the Atlanta Braves.
Colorado Rockies should be glad to have him.
Lowry’s Basketball Team

Third, fourth and fifth graders will be playing for the Lowry Elementary basketball team beginning in December.
The tryouts were December 1, 2009. The tryouts started 4:00 sharp to 5:30. Games and practices will be held primarily Tuesday and Thursdays 4:00 – 5:30.
In order to make the team they must have shown perseverance, sportsmanship, and honesty. Also, people must of have basketball skills and experience. Connor Nelson, Riley Eggloff, Kyler Hensel, Anya Michael, Jack Moldenhauer, Malijah Carson, Xavier Cooper, Noah VanSickle, Muezzin Muwwakkil, Leggacy White, Nate Meridith, and Alex Regulski have make the team.
In the last two years, The Lowry Eagles have only lost one game. They have also won two championships. They hope to do a three-peat and go 12-0.

Broncos Winning Start

The Denver Broncos had a perfect 6-0 start to the 2009 season, but then they lost their next three games.
The Broncos fired Mike Shanahan, their long-time coach, at the end of last year. They hired a new coach, Josh McDaniels, who was formerly the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots. Quarterback Jay Cutler was traded this past April after conflict with McDaniels. With a new coach and many young players, the Broncos’ 6- 0 start surprised most sportswriters and fans. Read more
