Flu season is worse than ever this year. H1N1, otherwise known as swine influnza (flu), is a disease that normally affects pigs but many human cases have occurred.
President Barak Obama declared H1N1 to be a national emergency in the US. However H1N1 is not the only virus that came from pigs, there is also H1N2 and H3N1.
If you do catch swine flu here are the symptoms: you will have a fever, lethargy, lack of appetite and coughing. Most people think you can catch swine flu by eating pork, but swine flu viruses are not transmitted by food.
To prevent swine flu: wash your hands, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
